Karen J. Cardina, age 74 was called home Tuesday August 4, 2015 to Her Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Cardina was born on March 3, 1941 in Painesville where she lived most of her life.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Painesville and Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor. She sang in the Choir and sang in the Corner Stone Group. Karen will be remembered for her beautiful voice when she sang. Karen was also a member of the Finnish Heritage Museum.
She was a Superintendent for the Sunday school and enjoyed sitting at the beach and reading her Bible, spending time with her grandchildren and loved to travel. She worked at Lake County Pediatrics as an
Office manager for over 40 years.
She is survived by her sons: Tim (Wendy) Cardina, Tom (Erin) Cardina, daughter-in-law Kristy Cardina all of Painesville; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter; sister June (Mike) Hurley of Concord and mother Lillian Kellhofer.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Cardina who passed away in 2006; sons David and Keith; sister Carlene Pekol and father Carl Kellhofer.
Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. & 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Zion Lutheran Church 508 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. at the Church Saturday August 8, 2015.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
