Elizabeth Frances "Mike" Hilston, age 90 passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014,
peacefully with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Anna Belle and George
She was born October 14, 1923 in Painesville. She was a 1941 valevictorian graduate of Perry High School where she resided until 1957, when she moved to Fairport Harbor.
Mrs. Hilston was a Secretary for Hilston and Son Contracting in Fairport Harbor for many years she then worked as a Secretary for Conway Title Company in Painesville retiring in 1986. She was an Active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport where she was a member of the Bereavement Group and the Ladies 80 Club and of the Ladies Circle where they shared Bible Study. She loved doing crosswords, reading and watching Jeopardy. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by son, Thomas (Jane) Hilston of Oviedo, Fla. and Fairport Harbor; daughter, Candace Hilston of Casselberry, Fla.; daughter, Kristine (Dane) Basiger of Fairport Harbor; son, Theodore (Michelle) Hilston of Euclid, daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Hilston of Great Falls, Mont.; 12 grandchildren, John Hilston, Mary Keener, Charles Hilston, Kelly Martinez, Gary Delano, Caroline Downie, Daniel Paskan, Jennifer Basiger, Andrea Musial, Elyse Spink, Cassandra Hilston and Tyler Hilston; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip Spiesman of Painesville; sisters, Mary Warren, Ruth and Marjorie Spiesman all of Perry.
Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond who passed away in 1977; son, Timothy Hilston; sisters, Peggy McCormick, Emma Spiesman; brothers, George, David, Alvin, Michael and Pete Spiesman.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 506 Eagle Street, Fairport Harbor.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
