Carolyn A. Malin, 77, of Madison, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township. She was born Aug. 26, 1935, in Painesville, to Alma Edith (Hills) and John Aino Ritola, and married Norbert Joseph Malin on Nov. 18, 1995, in Madison.
Carolyn was a lifelong member of Central Congregational Church. She worked for 13 years for Dr. Miles, worked at Lake County Hospital in surgery and had worked for Drs. Judd and Downing in Madison. She also worked for the Madison Schools and retired from the Perry Schools.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Ferrick Heiden of Garrettsville; son, Marshall (Brenda) Ferrick of North Canton; granddaughters, Ashley and Erin Ferrick; and great-grandchildren, Kanan and Grayson Price, and Carson Qualls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Joseph Malin in 2010; and her parents. A graveside service was observed Saturday, June 29, 2013, at North Madison Cemetery.
A memorial service was conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Central Congregational Church, 71 Park St., Madison, with the Rev. Jay Schmidt officiating.
