MegleyDorothy C. (nee Lurvey) Megley, 92, of Willoughby, passed away October 25, 2014.

Dorothy was born and raised in Fairport Harbor on January 18, 1922. She loved water color painting, crocheting, and spending time with grandchildren, was a very active Member of Zion Lutheran Church with baking, making crafts for holiday bazzar. She was a member of the Women Circle Group, a former Brownie troop leader and swim instructor for the Red Cross.

Dorothy was also very proud of her Finnish heritage. Mrs. Medley was a graduate of Fairport Harding High School.

Survivors are her daughters, Constance Jylanki and Kathryn Brickman; grandchildren, Thomas (Jennifer) Chipps, Matthew Brickman and Luke Brickman; great-grandchildren, Michael, Ryan and Olivia; sister, Arlene Henrickson; and aunt to many.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Jylanki and Robert Megley; and brothers, Reynold and Rev. Leslie.

Gathering of family and friends for celebration of Dorothy's life will be from 6 p.m. until the time of the memorial service on Thursday , October 30 2014, at 7:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Eagle Street, Fairport Harbor, OH 44077. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
