On Sunday, September 21, the Finnish Heritage Museum and the Spirit of Finland Committee dedicated the two bronze plaques, which are affixed to the Museum behind the sculpture.
The larger plaque honors the many individuals, groups, and businesses responsible for monetary donations, materials, and work towards the completion of the sculpture. The smaller plaque describes the symbolism behind the artist Ken Valimaki's concept.
The ceremony took place at 6:30 pm at the museum.
The following pictures will tell the story.

The "Book" contains page long stories about the relatives and people who contributed to the Spirit of Finland. The book is on continuous display on a podium in the lobby of the museum. Many visitors have found references and stories of their families in that book.
