For the third year in a row, FHM members travelled to Bill Newbury's home in Geauga Township to celebrate Juhannus, the longest day of the year.
As usual, nothing but the best foods and beverages were served, in keeping with our practices.
The following pictures depict the event, along with the "kokko" a huge bonfire. Member Heikki Penttila and Bill Newbery took about three hours to construct it, as you will be able to tell from the pictures.
FHM members L to R: Cindy Loovis, Mike Loovis, Virpi Pakkala Buck, and Ken Quiggle enjoy each other's company before the food was served.
Bill Newbury lights the exquisitely built kokko.
New member Fawn O'Hara ponders the question of should I or should I not? Oh, go ahead, it's only watermelon.
Two visitors from Finland catch some heat in the chilly evening.
Linda Penttila, one of the organizers of the event gets a thank you from Veikko Malkämaki.
